Hi, I’m Brian Thacker, an award-winning travel author, travel writer, travel podcaster,
travel blogger, travel marketer and travel junkie.

I’m a British-born Australian who lives in the U.S. Yes, I'm confused, too.

I've written seven travel books, write travel articles for publications in Australia, New Zealand and the UK, write and host travel podcasts and work as a creative and copywriter on tourism and travel accounts.

It all began with Rule No.5: No Sex on the Bus.
Following that came Planes, Trains & Elephants,
The Naked Man Festival, Where's Wallis?, I'm not eating any of that Foreign Muck, Tell Them to Get Lost and 'Travel Book of the Year' Sleeping Around.

I take photos for my travel articles (and Instagram of course). The funny thing is that nowadays the images that I shoot for articles can be from my whiz-bang camera or my iPhone. See if you can
you tell the difference?

I have worked as a creative director, art director and copywriter on Tourism Noosa, Visit Victoria, Canberra Tourism, Mt Buller, Tourism North Vietnam, Club Med, Tourism Victoria, Intrepid Travel, Fiji Tourism, Mt Isa Tourism and Christmas & Cocos (Keeling) Islands.

I'm no Spielberg, but I do like shooting and editing videos from my travels. It's amazing what you can do with a GoPro and an iPhone. I've thrown together videos from trips to Colorado, Palm Springs, Idaho, South Dakota, South Carolina and Wyoming.
