Launch Party for ‘Sleeping Around’ and free beer.

December 16th, 2008

As part of the Melbourne Couch Surfing Summer Fest I will be launching my new book ‘Sleeping Around’. The date is Thursday the 29th of January at a venue to be announced (I’m trying to find a good bar in Melbourne that’s full of couches!). I’ll be supplying beer and wine (until the bar tab runs out) and I’ll do a reading… then you all buy my books! The Melbourne CS Summer Fest is… I’ll just let them describe it:

CouchSurfers of Melbourne are hosting a week long CouchSurfing Festival and are inviting people from all over the world to join them. Come along and be a part of it! On the evening of Saturday, January 24th, 2009, a weeklong series of events will begin, designed to show the world what an amazing city Melbourne truly is. We kick off with the “graffiti party” (writing on shirts, not walls), and continue to a week filled with Australia Day celebrations, BBQs, picnics, trips to local markets, city tours, live music, free hugs and various other celebrations. The culmination will be an international pot luck dinner on Saturday January 31st, a chance for everyone to say their goodbyes and to share a part of their own culture and international flavours!

I’ll fill you in with more details of the launch in my ‘events’ page when I find a nice couchy venue!

    Hey Brian,

Try “The Long Room” – a funky bar on Collins Street (not to be confused with the Long Room at the MCG)

Plenty of couches and lounging there!

    Cheers :)
