Karaoke World Tour – Kyrgyzstan

Not much to talk about this week, so due to popular demand, here is Part Three of Brian’s Karaoke World Tour. I was in Kyrgyzstan as part of the research for my book Where’s Wallis?and on my final night I hit the streets of the capital Bishkek in search of karaoke (as any good travel writer would!). It was there that I found most of the young cool set of Bishkek loitering on the footpaths of the main drag Chuy Prospektisi. I was sorting out my ‘iMovie’ files on my computer today and I found the promo video I put together for ‘Where’s Wallis?‘. These promo videos are used by the sales reps to help sell the books into the bookshops and are mostly only seen by the book shop owners. The videos, which are often very simple, are usually put together by the publisher, but I shot and edited the video myself with the help of a friend and his shaky video camera.
