Big Blog Brother.

August 21st, 2008

I’ve had my blog up for a month now and the site has had 1,673 views. I know that because I have a ‘blog stats’ page and it tells me everything. I know what ’search engine terms’ you use to get to my site (two people were obviously misled when they found me after typing in ‘good travel author’). I know where you go in my site (The biggest snowman ever in this world’ has had the most hits so far!). I know which sites you clicked from to get to mine (thanks George Dunford – 34 people have come my way via you). It even tells me what you had for dinner last night (you had pasta!) and, best of all, it gives me full access to your banking details. I am coming a little obsessed with the blog stats, though. I’ve had my website for seven years (before I added the blog) and I had no idea how many people looked at it or what they looked at. I look at the ‘blog stats’ page a few times a day (and yes, I know that’s sad) because I love this groovy little graph that pops up with the daily hits >

Anyway, I’d better go. I’ve got quite a bit of money to transfer into my Cayman Island bank account. Oh, and thanks for paying for my New Zealand ski holiday.

I like the bit about knowing my bank details…LOL. But seriously, how DID you know I had pasta last night? I agree stats can be addictive; just make sure you don’t stop posting!

Wow, who knew I had 34 hits to refer. My mum is getting better at the net isn’t she?
I know what you mean with the blog stats. I somehow rationalise that checking blog stats is work so I’ve been doing it every five minutes while working on this Finland book.
